My faith is so much a part of my life that I can’t separate it from my thoughts or words. Frankly, I don’t know how I would have made it through my life’s challenges without my faith. God is good. All the time.
I believe in Family! I am from a large close-knit family (7 sibs). I was happily married for 32 years to a wonderful man who died from cancer much too young. My children and grandchildren give me great joy! Life can be very challenging -- last year we lost my son, and he has left another big hole in our family. Our family continues to be a big blessing in all our lives.
I have three degrees -- B.S.Ed., J.D., and M.Ed.. After practicing law for a few years, I took time to raise my young children. While volunteering in their schools, I recognized that education was my real passion. My 21-year career in Catholic education included teaching and serving as principal at two elementary schools in the Diocese of Arlington. I also had the privilege of serving as an Adjunct Professor at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. Having the opportunity to teach teachers was a real gift!
I am now fully retired and miss the world of education! I love to read, travel, and crochet. I believe that learning is a life-long adventure, and see BlessingsBarb as a great opportunity to continue to grow and learn.
